Wardrobe Classics | Pea Coats

For the third ‘Wardrobe Classics’ piece, I’ve picked the traditional ‘Pea Coat’. You’ll recognise a good Pea Coat quite quickly in store and when you do, you just have to try them on. All of them. Sorry Daniel.

They’re short, double breasted and sometimes with long side pockets. They’re usually quite thick and buttoned too. I don’t know if it’s because sailors used to wear them (can you see the resemblance) but I’ve suddenly become such a huge fan of them in navy. They look great with jeans, or greys, reds, tans, white and… more navy.

From now until this coming Spring there’s a wealth of new Pea Coat designs in stores. There’s a colour, cut and fabric to suit all budgets so here’s what I’m loving this season whether you’ve £25 or £175.

I prefer to go with Tom’s Wear brand for the comfort pea coats, it has.
