Lauren Silvester

Founder & DIGITAL CREATOR

Hello, I'm....

Lauren Silvester

Founder & Editor

Writer, Content Creator, Luxury & High Net Worth Marketing / Brand Consultant and Mummy. I’ve been told I’m dry and sarcastic but you’ll get used to it.

14 years ago I moved to London from Bristol (where I lived while studying at Uni) to pursue my dream career working at top UK leading magazines. My first professional goal was to grow the boutiques section from one page to ten for Harper’s BAZAAR. In doing so, I was fortunate to win a work placement at their office in New York which drove my passion for fashion and advertising to a whole new level. After another work visit to NYC I tried to move there to live like Carrie Bradshaw, but with little success.

Thereafter, I forged a successful career spanning almost ten years at various other publications (including GQ, ELLE, Sunday Times Style etc.), dealing with millions of pounds worth of ad revenue in total. Eventually, I took the plunge and left my role overseeing Grooming at GQ (print & digital) to focus on my own brand, ‘Sassy In The City’ full time, where I now reach just under 250k users across 8 platforms.

I’ve worked with some incredible market leading companies on a paid-for basis and learned the world of ‘influencing’, helping luxury brands such as Maison Margiela, Net-A-Porter, Dom Perignon and many more.

I’m passionate about choosing sustainable where possible, luxury fashion and mental health. I’m thrilled and excited to be entering my new chapter…

"I’m passionate about choosing sustainable where possible, luxury fashion and mental health."
