Why Everyday Should Be A Shoesday

If you follow my Instagram and Twitter, you’ll have seen that I’ve been uploading lots of pictures of outfits that I’ve put together to pair with five different sets of shoes from new online retailer, ShoesDays.co.uk. For those who aren’t familiar with the company, they offer affordable, fashionable shoes to suit those who love flats, sandals, boots, straps and like me, the highest of heels. Aside from their own branded goods, they even stock Dunlop slippers, a collection from TOWIE’s Sam and Billie and the old high street favourite, Dolcis.

Having spent time working at Kurt Geiger and developing an unhealthy obsession with shoe collecting (although not as severe as my fiancés trainer hoarding), I do know a thing or two about shoes. For me, they have to fit my high instep (the arch) and not be too tight around my ankle. They have to be of good quality and not be so uncomfortable that I have to dash from curb to cab with them in my hand at the end of a good night out. That my friends, is not a good look – particularly in the dirty streets of London. So here we are. For the first time, Sassy In The City has collaborated with ShoesDays and here is my style edit. I hope you enjoy…. OH! And don’t forget to check out the 25% OFF discount code at the end.

ALANIS BOOT, £22.99

2015_09_22_07_28_56
These Alanis boots are a steal at just £22.99. I love black chelsea boots, probably following on from my mums obsession with putting my sister and I in them as children at any available opportunity. The gold block high heel is bang on trend for this A/W 2015. It was particularly cold this day so I teamed it with a simple black tee and trousers, with a statement coat from Zara.

Royal Blue Pointed Heel, £17.99

Executing the perfect colour blocking outfit can sometimes be tricky. I like to keep it simple by not using lots of fussy textures so this plain, vibrant orange, bat wing top is perfect when paired with green wide leg ankle trousers and my turquoise Vivienne bag. The top is last season Zara but the great news is they have something similar in three pastel shades for just £5.99 online. I love the way these royal blue heels really pop with the outfit and the side cut is going to be big news this A/W 2015 (price £17.99). This outfit took me from meeting to meeting all day at work.

Daisy black fringe sandal, £22.99

With three tiers of tassel fun, these shoes zip up at the back for added comfort and are a great subtle way of adding this seasons fringing to your outfit without going over the top (I’ll be keeping my fringe coat and fringe bag in the closet rather than wear all at the same time). For just £22.99, these Daisy heels is an affordable way of investing in a little piece of glam without the price tag. I paired mine with this beautiful playsuit from Oasis for a lunch date with friends.

Daisy Mocha fringe sandal, £22.99

Nude shoes are a wardrobe staple in any girls closet. These boho inspired fringe shoes in a nude/mocha colour have rapidly become my new go-to shoe for lunch date dresses and work outfits. These leather trousers and a simple boho chic blouse let the shoes make the noise. I’ve also worn with a cute red skater dress and a pastel pink jumpsuit for off duty, effortless sophistication. All girls know that heels give you that little added confidence and these do add a few inches to my height, all the while keeping my feet comfortable thanks to the delicate padding on foot pressure points. For just £22.99, you’d be mad not to order them.

Black Suede Court and Gold Toe, £7.99

During a particular cold grey day this Autumn, I knew the perfect pair of heels to wear with my stripe on stripe look would be these black faux suede court shoes. Culottes can sometimes be tricky to wear without the right footwear so I choose either pointy stilettos or a simple one strap sandal (if I have to wear heels) or a brogue for a more relaxed out of office look. These have a luxury touch thanks to the shiny front gold tip. They give legs height and shape and just a note, these are particularly ideal if you have a narrow foot. Psst, they’re also on offer for just £7.99 right now too so you’d be a total fool not to snap these up.
