The Bumper Valentine’s Gift Guide For Him

Valentine’s Day isn’t for everyone but I’m definitely on board. My husband and I both lead very busy lives in between caring for our 5 month old girl and working, so the fact that there’s a day dedicated to showing our love, commitment, support and appreciation to one another means we can put aside everything and for a moment just focus on us a little.

Valentine’s is something I’ve never particularly struggled with. Perhaps it’s having a brother or from my time spent working at GQ either way I know what the men in my life want.

Pick One

To make it simple, men’s gifts can be split into three simple categories: grooming, shoes and watches or hobbies (think books, music, film). When it comes to my hubs, between his sister, mum and myself I’d say we pretty much have it nailed. In Dan’s case it’s normally anything from Supreme, Maison Margiela or luxury skin/hair care!
Right now there’s so much the modern day discerning gentleman would love. From unique home gifts like this brilliant glass skull from Skandium and the iconic Fornasetti trays right through to grooming goodies from the likes of LAB Series  that cater for all skin types giving you the opportunity to shop by concern not just by product. Groomerang are also a great brand to have on your radar especially if your love has a penchant for well groomed facial hair!

For Him

If taking out the rubbish is about as romantic as it gets for you guys, remember a little extra effort goes a long way. And vice versa gentlemen! Whether you’ve a weekend away planned, a night in with a £20 Valentines day meal for two from Waitrose or just a simple “love you” card to give before work try making it one to remember. I can’t wait to give Dan this ‘Sneakers’ book from Wordery – as a sneaker head it’s a coffee table book he’ll really cherish and one that says ‘I saw this and thought of you’.

Happy Valentine’s!
