My Cut & Colour Refresh At London’s Trevor Sorbie

Ok so I have a confession… It’s been almost an entire year since I last had a hair cut! Yup, that’s right I’m not even kidding, one whole year. The good news is that my hair wasn’t in dire need of a cut either – just a little trim. Regular followers will know that I’m usually in and out of Sassoon in Covent Garden but I think it’s safe to say, I’ve converted… to Trevor Sorbie.

Colour

I wanted a decent colour to cover up the aftermath of last year’s balayage. I did have a toner put on a while back which had faded so my hair needed a lovely gloss and some high shine. There was no fussing, Ben my colourist knew exactly how to take it. Natural, brown and semi permanent please.
In between the cut and colour he also put on an Olaplex treatment, to really nourish my hair and get rid of that lack lustre vibe I had going on. My colour is perfect, just what I wanted. It’s still as vibrant now as it was when I had it done too probably thanks to my latest shampoo (post coming soon).

Cut

I had that real nervous feeling when Tom picked up my hair. ‘Please don’t say 3 inches, please don’t say 3 inches!’ Phew, he said a trim would be fine. I explained that I was trying to grow my hair and he advised that to do so, get rid of the layers and shape the cut into a blunt end to really encourage a look of growth. I like to keep my front shorter for a more sophisticated and expensive looking cut so we gave the front a little more off too.

Trevor Sorbie

I visited the Covent Garden flagship salon and it really is all it’s cracked up to be. There’s a real fashion vibe going on and no messing about. Everyone knows exactly what they’re talking about, how to do it and make the clients feel exceptional. They make it look so effortless; a testament to their skill. It’s no wonder Trevor Sorbie has a successful product range too. Why not pay them a visit and treat yourself?
