Spring is one of my favourite seasons. Gone are the horrific days of blustery winds, hail and rain and here instead are sunny days and warmer weather. Ha! Great joke, huh? The quintessential British Spring has a lot to answer for but on the flip side, it’s great that we can still get away with covering up in long sleeves and trousers.
With that in mind I’ve compiled a mood board just for the new season to see all my favourite Spring time shades at a glance. My wardrobe is definitely seeing a lot more interesting pieces right now and I’m enjoying experimenting with new shapes. I’m also loving being able to leave the house with straight hair and not return with it looking like a bird is rearing 6 babies.
These high waisted paper-bag trousers from Topshop are the perfect Spring neutral. Oh and they come in petite too. I love the three button detail at the waist and the length is just right for showing off your new season shoes. Like these Kurt Geiger shoes of DREAMS (now reduced).
style.
For a splash of change I am loving this long sleeve, button down top in zebra print from Topshop. Here I’ve tucked it in but it can also be worn long (it’s nipped in at the waist). It’s super flattering particularly if you have a big chest. The button cuff detail allows you to wear the sleeves pulled up too – great for a casual look with jeans and a trilby hat and slides.
But the best buy is also this M&S circle bag in tan. I had so many messages on Instagram asking me where they could buy the bag. It’s tricky to find online because it’s hidden under the black version with a plastic handle.
