New Spring Buys That Will Completely Invigorate Your Beauty Drawer

This Spring there are so many new beauty trends and launches. With influencers continually changing things up on the YouTube scene, customers are dying to get their hands on the latest micro trends. But lets be honest, some trends aren’t for everyone. Glitter lips, disco eyes and heavy contouring anyone?
For me, this Spring I’m mixing things up a bit but staying true to my usual makeup routines. Staying are my foundations, my bronzers and mascara’s but going are my boring black liners and eyeshadows. I’m editing my makeup and wash bag carefully, buying only products that will really work to compliment my other products.

For The Body

It’s only recently that I’ve tried ModelCo One Hour tan (£17.99) and it’s safe to say I’m hooked! After application, just wait one hour before showering off for a glow. Wait two hours for a more sun kissed look or hold off for three hours or more for a darker, more tanned effect. When you first come out of the shower, it doesn’t look that dark but it does deepen after a few hours. Enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera it’s really easy to apply and moisturising on skin. It also dries super quickly and is cruelty free and vegan.
The ModelCo Exfoliator wipes are great but if you rather a more vigorous exfoliant in the shower, before self tanning (or just for general exfoliation) I love to use the Pre-Tan Exfoliator from Dr Organic. Use the Moroccan Glow Body Polish (200ml £8.99)  like most scrubs, simply massage in circular motions in the shower and rinse off. This one is great as it uses organic Moroccan Argan Oil which is fantastic for helping skin get some vitamins and antioxidants. It leaves skin free of dead skin cells meaning your tan lasts longer and looks more natural.

Makeup

For a more bold approach to eye makeup, I’m loving this liquid eyeliner from 3ina. It’s only £7.95 and has a waterproof metallic finish leaving eyes shimmering. The applicator’s great because it’s shaped with a tipped end making flicks and lines easier to draw. It also comes in teal (another favourite), purple, blue, brown and lots more.
Champions of the new Spring makeup bag though have to be these new goodies from Boutique – a makeup brand from Sainsbury’s (below). For a super market brand, I have to say I’m really impressed. The nail polish’s are a much needed (affordable) pop of colour for Spring while the lip liners for just £2 are an utter bargain. I love the creamy texture of the cream blushers (also make fab glosses for lips and eyelids) and the shades on this eyeshadow quad are great for brown eyes like mine. They blend really easily too without the need for lots of product like some inexpensive makeup.

For The Face

For lazy times and late nights these Estée Lauder Double Wear makeup wipes are great. Specifically designed for removing long wear makeup, they’re great if you’re wearing double duty or you’ve layered up a little too much. You better be quick though as they’re quickly selling out everywhere!

Fragrance

New from Lacoste is the L.12.12 pour Elle Sparkling (from £30). It really makes me feel like a new season and time period is upon us. It has delicate notes of French macaroon and earthy patchouli and is completely right for Spring. I haven’t worn much else.

For The Hair

The Aquis Hair Turban is super luxurious and unlike any towel I’ve ever come across before. Worn after washing, it’s sensitive, designed to absorb. Hair then dries really quickly inside with frizz less and in better condition. It definitely works.

Have you tried any of these new Spring essentials? What will you be doing to change up your makeup and wash bag? Xx

  1. I tend to buy a lot of makeup products without realizing that I might have the same thing at home. Your post helped me realize that I should try sticking to the ones that compliment my existing products. PS: I am a huge fan of those makeup remover wipes too!

  2. I found the reviews of this post to be useful. I was looking for a beauty cream that could remove the tan on my face. I wanted to try out the Body polish offered by Moroccan Glow. My friend also told me that the product could make your skin smooth. Thanks for the recommendation.
