Mother’s Day Sunday for most means a weekend with their loved ones. Be it a Sunday roast or a weekend break, I love hearing stories about what friends and colleagues have planned with their mums and their children. Having spent last weekend back in Wales it means something in the post. Carefully chosen and selected obviously. For those who know my mum you’ll understand she’s simply impossible to buy for; what do you get the woman who has everything?
The White Company fragrant candles (from £12) are an appreciated home gift in any humble abode (Seychelles is the best). If your mum is a perfume queen then try the brand new Modern Muse ‘Eau de Rouge’ by Estée Lauder. A flirty fragrance, it’s a romantic floral rose scent that’s lighthearted and perfect for Spring. Available from March 1st at Estée Lauder counters and EsteeLauder.co.uk (Price, £52 for 50ml).
For the body, check out the brand new launch of Rose de Grasse from Aerin. Sold exclusively at Harrods and available at Esteelauder.co.uk/Aerinbeauty this sensual body wash brings the captivating rose scent to life. It smells divine and leaves skin silky soft – so much so I actually forget to moisturise afterwards. Price £48 for 225ml. Something else I’m loving is Estée’s new ‘Revitalizing Supreme’ anti-aging cream. It revitalises, nourishes and rejuvenates skin and smells simply divine. It’s a delicious citrus scent infused with notes of Mandarin, Bergamont and Sandalwood among others. Price £48 for 200ml available at Esteelauder.co.uk. Gold mini bag is reduced to just £7 at H&M now (see others here).
Gemporia are a brand to watch right now and are featured in almost every fashion magazine. I love this unique vertical set style of diamonds and it comes at a good price. This 1/20 carat diamond set on a 9k white gold band usually retails at £156 but can be yours for just £58. ‘How To Be Parisian’ book priced £16.
Check out the new Starbucks x Benefit collaboration from now until 31st March. Pick up a unique Benefit Cosmetics coaster at Starbucks to take your local Benefit store and get a full makeover. And it works both ways – there are Benefit cup sleeves in Benefit stores to enjoy buy one drink and get another to share at Starbs.
Remember today is the last day for posting!
If your mum loves goodies for her handbag then this notebook from MCM is perfect. A hamper full of L’Occitane hand creams never fail and these leopard print gloves from Cornelia James (price £95) would be loved. I tried the Time Bomb over-exposed cream last week and have been using everyday. Already I’ve noticed a difference in the moisture levels of my skin without being oily or greasy. It’s designed for sun damaged skin, simply pop on your face under makeup for it to work or sleep in it overnight, price £39.
Now we all know mums are massively into luxury skincare and this gift box from Guerlain is probably on every mothers wish list. It’s the more expensive option on the gift guide but when you see how little you need to use and the effects it has, you won’t care. Priced at £124, it’s actually a really cost effective way of sampling all of the powerful products at once. The Discovery Ritual set contains Guerlain’s: The Longevity Concentrate (5 ml), The Cream (7 ml) and The Eye and Lip Cream (15 ml). Watch from Abbott Lyon, priced £129.
Happy Mother’s Day to my mum x
