Beautiful Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Tried & Tested Goodies
For Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day is a special one for me because it’s the first Mother’s Day as a mum of two. Seven weeks ago baby Francesca joined us to complete our family of four and since then I’ve definitely felt different as a person! As a Mum. I’ve double the responsibility and double the love now. I never thought it was quite possible but it’s true what they say, the heart doubles in size!

Whilst I may not have time to spend hours in the bath or pour over new clothes and makeup, the moments (albeit very rare moments) that I do get to myself are cherished. So I love an extra special indulgent pamper treatment to use and I do love a fancy drink. I’ve even started finding the joy in some beautiful new home finds that make excellent gifts for Mums on Mother’s Day.

Here are some amazing gift ideas that I’ve discovered for myself that I know all mums will really appreciate this Mother’s Day,…

For The Homebody

I can’t even begin to explain just how much I adore Connock London. Surprisingly I haven’t shared much from the brand on here for a while which is crazy because it’s a brand that I use very often. Their candles are stunning and the perfume reminds me of happy times. So I love the fact you can combine the two with this gorgeous fragrance diffuser for the home. It blends pure essential oils to fill your home with the sensual, exotic scent of Hawaiian flowers.

Oyoy Living is another of my favourite home brands. There’s so much to choose from online and even pieces that are multi functional for the home and for babies. I’ve one of their play mats for baby Francesca and right now I’ve my eye on more of their dinnerware. Mums will love their storage solutions as well like this large round grey.black box. Check out the stylish Gobi tea towels too, neutral colours that’ll look great in any home.

This pretty floral glass jar from Rockett St George is a beautiful accessory for Mum’s bathroom. I use mine to store cotton wool and cotton buds. They’re available in two sizes and are the perfect storage solution in any stylish bathroom.

For the hostess with the mostest, check out Setting Pretty. I discovered the brand on Instagram and instantly fell in love such their unique table setting accessories. These stunning grey Romantic placemats come as a set of 4 and really.stand out on my white table. I love them paired with the Modernist napkins pictured here in the grey and white colour way. Right now Setting Pretty will be donating 15% of all Romantic and Modernist Collection sales to The Felix Project starting February 2021 – April 2021, which is a London charity helping to fight food waste and hunger.

Bubbles

Regular readers will know I’m a huge Champagne fan. In fact, a small bottle of fizz was one of the first things I bought to enjoy post baby! Taittinger is up there with my favourites and this Brut Réserve would be appreciated by even the most discerning of mums.

For those who like a splash of pink, Jenkyn Place Rosé Réserve is deliciously elegant and refreshing. Showing savoury notes of fresh bread, citrus and brioche on the nose and bright, delicate flavours of rosehip, redcurrant and cranberry on the palate, it’s a dry, tasty sparkling rosé.

To Show You Care

There’s nothing like a good planner and if like me you enjoy spending hours selecting the perfect journal than you’ll love The Head Plan. It’s vegan leather and has sections corresponding to days, weeks and months. It helps you organise your thoughts, your goals and helps you to increase productivity without driving yourself mad! It can be personalised too and the best thing about this gorgeous planner is that you can dip in and out of it instead of being held accountable every single day because it’s undated. I have a Q&A coming up with the founder on my newsletter so make sure you’re signed up to receive my emails!

Down Time

For moments of peace and downtime there’s nothing quite as satisfying as curling up with a lovely piece of chocolate and a good film. Charlotte Jane Cakes is a small business discovered on Instagram. She creates amazing fudge with edible flowers that not only look incredible but also taste delicious! It’s safe to say that this white chocolate fudge is almost all gone.

I love applying a gorgeous serum during moments of downtime and the Origins PLANTSCRIPTION range offer this beautiful Multipower Youth serum boosts skin’s youthful look for reduced-looking lines and pores, and a smoother, more lifted appearance. 6 Peptides help relax the look of expression lines and support skin’s natural collagen.

Pamper Time

There have been so many new launches in the beauty industry but there are a select few that are really stand out for me. ELEMIS is right up there with some of the best innovations in skincare. So I was thrilled to see a collaboration with Olivia Rubin on this ultimate pamper box consisting of a candle and rose mist spray. This is the perfect gift for new mums like me! Equally brilliant is their new Pro-Collagen Watermint Cleansing Balm in a supersize which you can grab on QVC on discount. You already know from my Instagram stories and previous beauty empties posts how much I love the Pro Collagen range and so this is a lovely new product to try, It’s super gentle and great for a first time ELEMIS trier!

Another good option for a mist is the Dermalogica Antioxidant Hydramist which helps to firm and hydrate the skin. Great for tired mums like me who need a mid day pick me up for the skin! I’m enjoying the ease of using this and it’s perfect for when I’m spending a day without makeup.

L’Occitane have again made one of my gift guide lists because I think they’re a brilliant brand who are pioneers in the sustainability category. Their overnight treatments like this Overnight Reset Serum are fantastic and the famous Immortal Divine Day Cream has been favoured by women of all ages. Not only do I love their hand creams and bubble baths but they also have a gorgeous calming pillow spray to help you drift off to sleep. Vouchers are a great idea to gift mums on the L’Occitane website because it gives the opportunity for mums to really enjoy choosing their perfect products.

Finally I couldn’t end this post without talking about hair. As a busy mum I’m usually running out of the house with a mum bun or my hair drying wild and natural. So whenever I have a short amount of time to myself, styling my hair brings me a lot of pleasure. I had a try of this Remington Hydraluxe Wand and I have to be honest, it’s really great. You can set it to your preferred temperature, there’s a handy glove (who remembers that video where I burned my hand a couple of years ago?) and the barrel is large in size, perfect for modern waves or curls.
