Luxury Valentine’s Gifts At The Top Of Everyone’s Wishlist

Ahh, it’s almost Valentine’s Day. A time to treat your partner and another chance to tell your loved one exactly how much they mean to you. In the past, I’ve always gone a bit OTT with Valentine’s Day. But as you get older and budgets increase, there’s a tendency to now buy less and buy great. For Dan and I, our anniversary also falls around the same time so it’s an extra special occasion for us. We like to spend the time together be that at home opening a gift or in a lovely hotel somewhere just the two of us.

You’ll notice that there’s something a little bit different about today’s post. It’s laid out better with the aim of helping you guys to see – at a glance – a carefully curated edit of the best buys around right now to spoil your loved one. All you have to do is click on the little + box and you’re taken straight to the product.

A self confessed beauty queen, I love a good beauty product at any time of the year. Around Valentine’s, it’s an extra special treat, especially if you’re off for an evening out with your love – or even a mate! My concept here is ‘to me from me’. Or if you’re strapped for cash, a big hint (or an emailed link) goes a long way when helping your love to choose something for you. Favourites of mine include the stunning Diamond Clean Electric Toothbrush from Philips Sonicare and the Glamglow Youthmud treatment.

If fashion is more your bag, it never hurts to hint for something that little bit more expensive than what you’d usually pay. It is a gift after all! Whilst I am loving the budget friendly Topshop Crop Frill Jacket, I would be ecstatic to receive the Gucci leather briefcase. I already own the canvas Gucci belt but now I’m obsessing over the leather versions, particularly this white one. At just £240 it’s an extravagant gift you’ll wear over and over again.

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of shoes. In my Kurt Geiger days. I owned close to 200 pairs. These days whilst I prefer a mix of high street and designer, there’s no denying that investing in a pair of Jimmy Choo’s is always a worthwhile investment. I love to invest in classics that never date or fall out of fashion. There’s nothing quite like opening a pair of designer shoes from your loved one. I couldn’t get enough of the SJP blue pumps on my Instagram stories and these Gianvito Rossi red lace ups are just to die for.

I love breakfast in bed in a hotel room on a weekend around Valentine’s Day. If we don’t get away, there’s nothing quite like having a cooked breakfast in bed made with love by your love. While a copy of Vogue and a glass or orange juice would go down a treat, it’s nice to receive some stunning underwear or a beautiful gown like this luxurious pure cashmere gown from M&S. Selfridges also have their wonderful flower delivery service and who doesn’t love a bunch of roses on the side of their tray at breakfast?

Finally a gift always worth hinting for, something for the home, bedroom or just yourself. Champagne is ALWAYS a good idea as are beautifully scented candles like this Byredo Bohemia Mini Candle. I’m drooling over these espresso cups from Wedgwood  and would adore a printed photograph of Dan and I inside a cute little photo frame.

There’s lots more Valentine’s Day treats in store so stay tuned! What will you be buying this Valentine’s Day? Xx
