Grab your blue wrapping paper and sticking tape! If your Dad’s a stylish and discerning gentleman then you’ll love my 2018 gift guide packed full of ideas and inspiration for what to treat him to this Sunday. Get him what he really wants from style to grooming, to gadgets and lifestyle. This bumper gift guide has it all.

fashion.

Boden & Joules always deliver when it comes to great Father’s Day gifts. My top picks (clockwise from left) are this stunning blue Laundered Oxford shirt (Joules, £54.95) and these gorgeous skipper blue swim shorts (Joules, now £34.95). There’s sophisticated style and timeless elegance from Boden in the form of this beautiful white Oxford shirt (Boden, £50) and this classic blue plaited crew neck jumper (Boden, £55) too. I love the navy with a soft blue trim on the bottom.

For the Dad’s who treasure the traditional gift of socks, these bamboo socks from The Sock Shop are super soft, wash great and come in some fabulous shades. These practical Bosworth wellies (Joules, £59.95) are also perfect for the outdoors Dad.

grooming.

What I do best! Grooming gifts are always the perfect category for my Dad (and now that my husband’s a Dad). It’s what I worked on at GQ (publishing) and I’m familiar with the brands and what’s trending. Clinique has always been a firm favourite men’s gift because it allows them to shop by concern and the products really do work.

The Charcoal face wash (Clinique, £18.50) is a wonderful everyday use product that provides a deep clean while the face scrub (Clinique, £21) is a more intense clean that’s particularly good for men with beards. Finish off their regime with the anti-age moisturiser (Clinique, £33.50). Or try Recipe For Men’s Facial Moisturiser (£26) also in an anti-shine version. It uses a little caffeine to reduce puffiness and and ginger and cinnamon to reduce skin oiliness for a perfect matte finish.

(Clockwise from left) Revolutionising the dental market is Ordo; the UK’s first ever online oral health subscription service. It’s delivered straight through the letterbox! The lovely starter pack comes complete with sonic pulse electric toothbrush and accessories then 2 months later the refill pack comes.

For Dad’s who take pride in their haircare, Sachajuan is the go-to brand for luxury products. The fibre paste (£22) is lightweight and flexible allowing for all hair styles. Evo are another modern brand that allows to shop by hair concern. I adore the women’s too. Hanz Du Fuko are great for natural and organic ingredients that champion individuality and Blind Barber do some great products that have great hold and washes out easily.

For the travelling Dad, British brand Lily & Lionel have teamed up with Elemis for this gorgeous wash-bag full of goodies (£45) from body wash to deep cleanse face wash. For the Dad who really has it all, the purifying charcoal body wash (Origins, £20) will wash away the day and leave him smelling amazing.

shaving & trimming.

Tweezerman have designed this handy travel facial hair grooming kit complete with a beard brush and comb. Their deluxe, cruelty free shaving brush (£36) and grooming tool kit (£32) is another men’s must have. For the Dad who wants to discover something different, Marram offer a range of mood enhancing botanical shaving creams to personalise each shave dependent on their day.

(Below) For an epic gift and potential ‘favourite child’ badge, the Braun series 9 (£370) is the shaver of the moment. It has SyncroSonic technology with 40,000 cross cutting movements per minute, removing more hair in the first stroke than any other electric shaver!  There’s also the Philips Bodygroom 5000 series (£60) for the Dad who likes to take care of his whole body. It’s designed to power through hair, without compromising on skin comfort. Whether on the chest or hard-to-reach areas like the back. Finally the Barba Trimmer (Remington, £29.99) is an affordable shaving gift that has advanced ceramic-coated blades with nine pre-set lengths.

But for the height of style and sophistication, the Bolin & Webb luxury R1 Matte Razor & Stand (£80) looks great in any bathroom. I’m obsessed with the design of this and the slick way it balances on the holder. It’s designed with ergonomics in mind for superior handling, and tipped with a Gillette Mach3 blade for a close and smooth shave.

fragrance.

If your Dad loves (and expects) a beautiful cologne for Father’s Day, break the tradition and choosing a different fragrance. Right now there are so many amazing scents like the elegant and mysterious Narciso Rodriguez ‘For Him’ Bleu Noir  (£45). There’s also the incredible Clean Reserve Smoked Vetiver (£100, unisex but with masculine tones) or the luxurious Cartier Declaration (£105) with its Oriental tones. Paul Smith Hello You! is a firm Dad favourite but my favourite has to be the Jo Malone 154 cologne (£90, which also happens to be unisex). For the ultimate premium London fragrance, Penhaligon’s have launched a stunning woody fragrance, Marylebone Wood (£137)

gadgets at Asos

Asos has quickly become my favourite online destination for cool gadgets. Ones that not only Dad’s but men of all ages love. I was so excited to see them stocking this vintage inspired Custom Polaroid 600 camera in a Chrome Gold limited edition (£159.99) I almost jumped off my seat! Polaroid Originals is dedicated to preserving analog instant photography in its original format. Dad will love a nostalgia fix with the brand’s recommissioned instant film and camera, both refurbished and new!

Another cool gadget I discovered at ASOS is this Typo Oak Woodgrain Shower Speaker (£20) which has already been so popular! It’s wireless, plays your favourite music and looks fantastic in any stylish bathroom. One gift I know so many Dad’s will also appreciate is the Fitbit Alta (£100). Worn on the wrist, this connects to an App on a smartphone to record your steps. It even alerts you when it’s time to get moving. A must for any Dad looking to get fit!

urban apothecary.

My obsession began with the Cherry scent and quickly grew when I tried the Smoked Leather (£30). A scent any man will love. He’ll cherish burning it during shower time, TV time or even with a glass of red near the fire. These luxury candles look and smell great.
