[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”WHAT I’VE DISCOVERED ON IN LONDON RIGHT NOW THAT ALL SASSY GIRLS MUST TRY” font_container=”tag:p|font_size:14|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As a blogger (and a Londoner) there’s no denying that I get to enjoy lots of treats. But of course however the intention is for me to share it all with you, the readers. I want to take it right back to the OG and the beginning of blogs when it was less focused on ‘us’, the ‘blogger’, and more about our passions. So because this week my inbox has been shaking with news, I thought I’d start collating some of my favourites. I’ve had so many alerts on cool things to do and try in London; and it’s all happening right now! I’m certain you’ll love them as much as I do. Even if you aren’t a Londoner. Stay sassy ladies and let me know if you try anything.

1. New Summer Afternoon Tea at The Savoy, London

The Savoy has partnered with JING Tea to bring guests an incredible Summer inspired afternoon tea.
Executive Pastry Chef, Daniel Pearse, has created six light, floral pastries which herald the finest ingredients of the season. From the beautiful British strawberry to the transient mirabelle, the essence of summertime is distilled into The Savoy Seasonal Summer Fruit Tartlet. It is destined to be a showstopper! The filling of the tart vary as different fruits come into season. So you’re guaranteed optimum flavour throughout Summer months.  Further evocative seasonal delicacies include the Tropical Roulade Biscuit Joconde with Mango and Passionfruit Jelly and Banana Cremeux and Pistachio Madeleines with pistachio cream, which are served warm. I know right, where do we sign up?

Londoner, Meet JING Tea

For this new menu, The Savoy team has worked closely with the expert team at JING. They have ensured that a cup of tea is never an afterthought. Instead, it is integral to the afternoon tea experience, accenting and drawing out the subtleties of each delicate sandwich and pastry. The Savoy also embraces the quiet ceremony of tea drinking. They ensure that every cup is brewed at the optimum temperature and served in the perfect vessel to elevate the experience. The flavour notes of the tea have also been incorporated within the design of individual pastries, such as Apricot and Jasmine Religieuse which features jasmine tea-poached apricot compote topped with white Chocolate Feuilletine and a floral jasmine mousse. Anyone else dribbling right now?
Available 7 days a week:
£65 per person
Traditional Summer Seasonal High Tea (includes slow cook salmon or goat cheese curd & heirloom tomatoes) £70
As a precursor to the entire experience, guests are offered a cold tea infusion to cleanse the palate. Guests can also
add a glass of Laurent-Perrier for an additional £10 or £15 for a glass of Deutz Rosé.
