Best Knit Dresses For Autumn/Winter

My Go-To For

The Colder Season

Since H&M dropped a substantial amount of knitwear online and on shop floors, it was quite clear the direction in which the High Street was going this season. I don’t know about you but it feels like knitwear is on steroids this year! Every where I look there are jumpers, coatigans, cardigans, knit dresses, oversized knitwear, knitted crop tops… I could go on.

Whilst I’m usually rather discerning about my knitwear fabric, there’s something about the allure of cheaper alternatives. I admit, I’ve recently veered away from cashmere since pregnancy has thrown my usual sizing all out. More recently I’ve been leaning more towards wool blend mixes etc. but my rule still stands – if it’s likely to bobble or get semi destroyed in the wash, it’s just not worth it.

So with this in mind, I’ve grown quite the collection of knit dresses. Whether I’m wearing them on the shorter side with over the knee boots (like in today’s post) or choosing maxi/body con styles with some cute mules (like in this previous post), there’s something so effortlessly chic about the look. They’re also really versatile – I often wear mine with some soft knit leggings or over a pair of jeans. They’re also super comfy curled up in front of a good film with a hot chocolate!

Despite being 7 months pregnant, I haven’t invested in many maternity dresses. Instead I’ve been upsizing the regular fit – more so because they can be used again next year albeit more ‘oversized’ sans baby bump. Check out my edit of my favourite knit dresses for this season and let me know which is your favourite! .
