Behind The Scenes: Window Styling In Knightsbridge’s The Collective

PART TWO

You’ve already seen part one (if you haven’t then read it here) so here’s the final part to the highlight of my year so far – styling the window of Knightsbridge’s very own The Collective Boutique by Kari C (The Collective can be find right near Harrods at 19 Beauchamp Place). When I was asked to host a window residency to celebrate all things designer, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the beautiful fabrics, colours and cuts. The store boasts a handsome curation of skirts, dresses, coats and the most insane shoes designed by her very self, Kari C.

Luckily, Kari C believes that “true style is not trend driven, but eternally chic”. Alas, a woman after my own heart. The women Kari designs for are well-travelled and cosmopolitan in their outlook and the customers are refined and discerning. The clothes in store are picked by Kari and are from a spectrum of designers. It was so difficult to select a few outfits and ended up staying way later than expected. From colourful shoes to embellished accessories (check out the shoe clips in the first post – to die for), I did however manage to select a few looks for the mannequins. Here’s how I got on.

The boutique is aimed at anyone who believes the body is a canvas that should be dressed in exquisite fabrics, those who can appreciate talented design and luxury from all cultures from around the world. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this store literally is an Aladdin’s cave of fashion goodies. For all ages, Kari’s collection offers a dynamic fashion sense. Kari really knows her stuff thanks to a history with fashion from her time at McQueen up to more recently, designing her own shoe line, Kari C.

You can check out the style residency window display right now over at 19 Beauchamp Place in Knightsbridge.

Don’t forget to follow The Collective from Kari C on Instagram and Twitter.
