Knightsbridge Store Window Styling | The Collective P1

Part One

Aside from the West End, Knightsbridge is one of the best shopping destinations in London and has been since first documented in the 1100’s. It’s one of my favourite places to shop when looking for investment pieces that are sure to last you a lifetime. Well, and my go-to place if I just want to browse some of the stunning clothing that have been curated from the best designers in the world. One of these places that are housing some of the greatest pieces literally on the planet is The Collective, by Kari C.

For those who don’t know, Kari C has a history with fashion from her time at McQueen up to more recently, designing her own shoe line, Kari C. Her multi-brand women’s boutique, The Collective can be find right near Harrods at 19 Beauchamp Place. Kari believes that “True style is not trend driven, but eternally chic”. Her designs are for women who can appreciate design elements, luxe fabrics and influences from various cultures. It’s obvious from even looking through the window at the shoes that Kari has mastered the intricacies and precision involved in creating the perfect shoe. Each shoe is handmade in Italy using the finest materials.

If you haven’t already seen from my Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, I was recently honoured to be asked by The Collective by Kari C to style their Knightsbridge store window for a one month residency. Throughout the month of April you’ll see eight looks, chosen to reflect my style. So wearing my OOTD I headed over last Thursday to browse the store and choose the clothes that I’d like to see on the mannequins underneath my logo in the window. In addition to wanting absolutely everything, there were some pieces that really stayed in my mind, especially her shoes so I couldn’t wait to kick off my Jimmy Choo pumps (above) and try on some Kari C’s. Below are my favourites – Vanessa shoe as worn recently by Andrea Corr at The Royal Variety Show. Each shoe has it’s own name and I was thrilled when they decided to name one of the shoes Lauren when I was there, after myself. What I love about her shoes too is that she’s thought of everything. There are even little ‘Shoe Bijoux’s’ which can be bought individually and essentially clipped to the top of the shoes to give a different embellishment for each outfit. Prices are usually around £55 each so totally affordable and a great way to change things up.

There are secret zips on this fur to shorten or lengthen the piece to choice (above). POA – around £1,000.

As you can imagine, finding eight looks was so difficult because all the pieces are just so fabulous. You can check out the style residency window display right now over at 19 Beauchamp Place in Knightsbridge. Stay tuned for the final looks coming soon to SassyInTheCity.com in Part 2. 1. Such an amazing opportunity! I love the fact that the fur stoles have zips to change the length, what a brilliant idea so you can wear them on more occasions. Exactly what you want for such an investment piece. Also, your hair is so flipping shiny, wow!
