My Favourite Looks From
Luxury Sustainable Maternity Brand
Isabella Oliver
When I worked at Harpers Bazaar, I remember reading a feature on Isabella Oliver and their stylish and chic maternity wear. I called them to discuss their business and pinned them at the top of my ‘brands to remember’ should I ever have children one day.
Flash forward ten years and here I am working with them. When I fell pregnant with Mia, Isabella Oliver were one of the first brands I shopped with. I’d just left my career to pursue my blog full time and I wanted clothes that would not only be comfortable, but would keep me feeling everything I should when representing my own brand. Stylish, chic and professional.
It’s satisfying to know that they’re also a sustainable brand. They’re dedicated to learning more and finding new ways to work more ethically and sustainably. They’re a BCorp that truly care about people and the planet.
Now that I’m pregnant with baby number two, I’ve spent lots of time pouring over their website, choosing pieces that fit into my everyday life. From active wear to smart tailoring, from evening gowns to stay-at-home comfy pieces, it really does have everything.
If you haven’t already, be sure to also check out their Pre-Loved scheme (the aim is to radically reduce the amount of maternity fashion waste going to landfill each year). 50% of net proceeds from Pre-Loved sales are donated to a selection of maternal charities. They also have an incredible rental service, perfect for events!
For this post, I’ve picked my favourite styles for practicing yoga and stretching, chilling out with a good book and a hot drink, and my favourite gown for an evening out or a (social distanced) New Years Eve party. Starting The Day: Yoga & Stretching
As any pregnant woman knows, stretching is not only good for the mind and body but is also a great way of relaxing. I try to stretch as often as possible to become more familiar with my ever changing shape and my body’s limitations. Pre pregnancy I’d hit the gym in some cool sportswear (it makes me feel more motivated) so now that I’m pregnant, I want to continue wearing great fitting pieces that are also comfortable and breathable. I love the back detail of the Maternity Yoga Top and the Maternity Active Vest..
Mid-Morning Work Break
It’s important for me to find the right balance between work and rest. I’m the first to admit that I’m a workaholic and switching off is something that doesn’t come easy to me! Taking regular breaks throughout the day to enjoy a hot drink or read a chapter of a birthing book is my way of winding down. It’s without making me feel like I want to curl up in bed). The Isabella Oliver Arden Maternity top is great for taking me from Zoom calls to lounging on the sofa because it’s comfortable yet stylish. Here I’m wearing it with the over the bump jeans (cleverly designed to suit my pregnancy shape) and these gorgeous eco-cashmere socks.
Evening Out

On the whole during this pregnancy I’ve wanted to be in the bath and to bed relatively early. Especially after a long work day. So when the opportunity to get dressed up and head out (or stay in and have a virtual party) arises, getting dressed up and feeling fancy is something I enjoy putting effort in to. This stunning Belmont Maternity Maxi dress is so elegant. It has beautiful understated detailing. It has one shoulder, a gathered band and detachable belt that can accentuate my pregnancy body. I’ve paired mine with these stunning Sicily earrings.
