How To Do The Ultimate Girls Night In, Mayfair

Hertford St, Mayfair

Almost Every Winter

It’s easy to get carried away with girlie trips abroad. As a result, it can add up and become costly too. Christmas markets of Vienna, Berlin and Prague? A shop-til-you drop trip to the designer shops in Paris? Either way, a two night stay with your girls is usually on the cards in December. I mean after all, those Christmas gifts won’t buy themselves.

It’s no surprise that London is classed as one of the best shopping cities in the world. From Harrods to Selfridges, even top global designers on Bond Street and high street stores on Oxford Street are raking it in daily. Even more so at Christmas. People from all around the world come to London to stock up on fashion, beauty, jewellery, accessories and even homeware. Personally, I don’t know what I’d do without the huge John Lewis for some home essentials, Liberty for my unique fragrances and Harvey Nichols for some investment pieces. So this year, aside from a holiday to Costa Rica I’ll be spending as much time as possible in London planning my Christmas gifting.

Luxury Christmas Package

I was so excited when I read about the new Christmas package from luxury serviced apartments specialists, 9 Hertford Street. It’s for like minded people who are looking to experience a London Christmas. Prior to my recent trip, I’ve stayed at 9 Hertford Street before. They have most comfortable beds ever (!) and are situated in an exciting location next to the shops and brilliant Mayfair pubs and restaurants. It suits those looking for a more premium experience out of their weekend stay. I love the privacy that it offers and love that it still has that luxury service that comes from a hotel.

Last Weekend

You saw on my Instagram that my friend and I stayed at 9 Hertford Street. During the day I went for a roam around the shops and unpacked all of our face-masks for the night. Taking the opportunity to delve into our Fortnum & Mason hamper that comes as part of the package, I made myself a tea (obviously making sure the sparkling wine was keeping cool). Take away app ready to go (a delicious Chinese from Soho’s Wardour Street) I relaxed with a book.

To say that the apartment is a total treat is an understatement. Exuding luxury from the moment you open the chunky wooden door. The apartment is complete with its own kitchen, bathroom, huge triple wardrobe, dining room and a super plush lounge. You can sink into the sofa’s and be peaceful. Boy is it quiet.

This Christmas, they’re offering their boutique serviced apartments for a two night stay. Want a paper in the morning? Done. Want some fresh milk? Just give the polite concierge service a call. Want to know the best nearby theatres for a night out? They can help.

Tips For The Best Girls Night In

With my sister living back in Wales, I love spending time with my close girlfriends. Celebrating friendships, bonding, chatting, sharing problems… it’s no wonder you’re up until 3am with them. My overnight bag for a girls night in is always full of the essentials.

KEEPING COSY

A fresh, cosy pair of PJ’s are such a novelty. Oversized bottoms or a chunky knit are perfect for Wintery evenings to curl up with a glass of bubbles and a slice of red velvet cake. My favourite right now are Armor Lux. They do the most amazing soft cotton PJ bottoms.

ENTERTAINMENT

The apartment has SKY TV so naturally we spent time flicking through the films, programs and enjoyed tea and biscuits with the news the next morning. There’s a whole bookcase full of in depth reading too and don’t forget to ask for the paper to be left. On both stays there’s also been fashion mags on the coffee table.

FACE MASKS

Rosie and I are both obsessed with our skin. We chatted for ages about Cult Beauty and her new buys. We had such a laugh using this Rodial black snake serum mask (£68, which is amazing by the way) and the Omorovicza Mud Mask (£65).

TREATS

Fortunately they’ve already thought of that. In the Fortnum & Mason hamper are the most delicious chocolate coated digestive biscuits. There’s also a bottle of sparkling wine included in the package and thanks to apps including Deliveroo, you can order from hundreds of the best restaurants in the area.
