You’ll have seen on Instagram that I recently had the most amazing cut and blow at the absurdly trendy Neville Hair and Beauty in fancy Belgravia. Among the preposterously talented professionals, lives Jack Merrick Thirlway. For those who are avid fashionistas, you would heard of him associated with the hot hot hot Paris Haute Couture fashion week and L’Oréal. You only have to check him out on Instagram to know he is the crème de la crème of the styling world. Don’t take my word for it, not only is he styling an insane callibre of shows but he’s also styled Petra Nemcova and Ana Beatriz Barros. Even my favourite Lydia Elise Millen (hair To.Die.For) lets him loose on her alluring locks.
I had a hair wash (two shampoos for good luck) and told JMT about my ridiculously thick, frizzy hair. Not a problem for him – with a quick brush and spritz, he had my wet hair combed poker straight.
Jack could see my hair was a strange cut – like two styles in one. To fix the problem he chopped from the front backwards to really thin out the sides and reduce my helmet head.
JMT was so quick at blow drying and I’ve never seen such organised volume on myself. The whole experience took about an hour and the prescribed products used left no annoying stickiness or residue.
Leaving the salon I instantly jumped in a cab to Victoria tube station through fear of ruining my favourite new hair. No need though as even the next day my hair had colossal volume!
A big thank you to JMT and everyone at Neville Hair and Beauty. Can’t wait to come again. Now all that’s left to do is for me to convince JMT that he needs to style my hair for my wedding. Could I too look like a Paris Haute Couture fashion model, please please please?
