These days, casual style isn’t just a stay at home essential. Casual no longer just means jeans either. It can be sassy too. Yep, you don’t have to look like you’re hiding last night’s pizza stains or melted chocolate bits any more people!
With a bit of planning, you can go from seeming basic, to fresh and sophisticated…yes, this includes joggers! The challenge is making casual look less sluggish and more assertive. For me, joggers with a tailored wool jacket and trainers equals less smart, more sass. I’m sure you’ll agree too.

NEUTRALS
I love a mix of browns, whites and greys. It’s my favourite way to wear comfortable basics, without sacrificing style and personality. I like to conside hard wearing fabrics too. A tough wool blend coat against a cotton hoodie and some sharp Gucci trainers. The most important thing to think about when it comes to my outfit though, is tailoring.
Tailoring
With the right fabric and cut, the best way to uplift your casual look is with a statement jacket. From boxy, structured jackets, to tie waist shackets, transitional tailored outwear demands attention without being formal. I’ve already started investing in lots more for Spring. Shape is the key to casual sophistication. With sustainability at the forefront of design, brands are intentionally trying to find ways to reimagine how pieces can be styled. Tailoring is the most versatile way to reuse, regardless of style, formal or informal.
