How This One Facial Can Drastically Improve Your Skin In Just One Hour

The Guinot Hydraderm Cellular Energy Facial

A good facial has become just as important to my skincare regime as a daily cleanse and tone. In addition to the relaxation and emotional benefits, regular facials are proven to help the anti-ageing process. Clients also notice a boost in skin hydration as well as a reduction in the level of fine lines. My therapist told me that the 60 year old women who’ve taken care of their skin for the last 30 years have the best skin imaginable. So in my quest for plump, wrinkle-free skin (without evasive surgery or needles) I went for the Guinot Hydraderm Cellular Energy treatment (£99, 75 mins) at the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape. You can find it inside the stunning Metropolitan Hotel on London’s Old Park Lane.

Brighter Glow

My treatment was bespoke to suit my specific concerns. Recently I’ve been using new makeup that’s a little heavier and oily than usual. Thus to my surprise my complexion had become more greasy with some clogged pores. Therefore a quick pre cleanse was needed before the treatment. In addition to sorting out my uneven skin, ultimately my aim was to leave with brighter, more nourished and with increased hydration. I always think in aiming for this, in turn the fine lines go and skin looks noticeably younger.

The Treatment

Don’t be put off when you see the machine. Some of the best facials on the market use energy from an electronic device and the results are always a lot more noticeable than your standard facials. Dynamic Ionisation and Thermal Energy are the USP for this facial and it all comes from the small system. First two metal rollers are used to deliver the Dynamic Ionisation – a rhythmic 10 minute massage with roller electrodes. Then Thermal Energy is used to boost radiance and increase micro-circulation. The warm electrode is put over skin for a few minutes yet you can barely feel a thing. Honest!

The therapist will use various products throughout the course of the session. Prescriptive creams are used to achieve your desired result and it’ll include a soothing mask. Let me tell you, from the lovely Aloe Vera cleanser to the serum and gels, Guinot products are beautiful. I’ve been using the cleanser and toner at home for some time now and even within the first week I absolutely saw a difference in my skins appearance.

Essentially, the treatment aims to increase the energy within the skin. This then encourages rejuvenation and other various skin activity. From the moment the treatment has finished the results are spectacular. What’s great is that customers can focus on anything – purifying, brightening, soothing or moisturising – and you will get the results you desire.

To Conclude

I was so impressed with the facial that I felt compelled to share it with you guys. I’ve had many facials in my time but none have felt as relaxing as this – the neck and shoulder massage mid way through certainly helped. I loved how my skin felt and looked that evening. The next day, there was a huge difference in my skins texture. It was more even in tone and completely hydrated and smooth. I absolutely recommend the Guinot Hydraderm Cellular Energy Facial. It’s definitely worth checking out your local salon.

Have you tried any good machine facials recently? Have you tried Guinot before? Xx
