Well, it’s 2020 (insert fireworks and all other over the top emojis here). I don’t know about you but I have such a good feeling about this year! While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be winning the whole ‘New Year New Me’ game, I’m going to give it my best try. OK I may be starting it off 21 pounds heavier (food and I had a special relationship in 2019) and I’m pretty sure someone has come and filled my bedroom with a load of junk but it’s all uphill from here!
I had a little think over the holidays about the blog, life and direction. I feel that all this time I spend spinning plates could be better used in other ways. So I’m letting all that proverbial china dinnerware smash to the ground and I’m going to start from scratch.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”17757″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Oh and I’m on a vegan diet too! Thanks for your condolences but like Jennifer Anniston post Brad Pitt split, ‘I’m fiiiiiiiiiine…’. I’m also doing no alcohol (hiccup, no really) and I’m trying no sugar for 6 weeks. Am I mad? Yes, probably, I tell every sugar eater every day…[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”17755″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17756″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
2020 Blogging
Where work’s concerned, I’m sore to think how in 2020 the blogging industry has changed. Instagram has become a platform I dislike. My friends (yes even the sassy ones) are unplugging and deleting the app. YouTube’s become something I just use to catch up on rubbish (except the latest Wiley/Stormzy beef which, by the way, my photographer Zoe and I have contrasting views on *gasp, shock, mouth open*). I’m also sad to see some of my favourite bloggers pulling back from their blogs in favour of social media(excluding Lydia Elise Millen and InTheFrow, those guys are killing it on their blogs). But remember, VINE was once one of the biggest social channels with people making careers from it and then, thud, goodbye, platform over. Whether we’ll see this happen to IG who knows but for now, I’m taking it back to my roots (no not Newport, my blog).

If you want any tips on Veganuary drop me a line. I’ll probably have my mouth filled with all the bad vegan stuff whilst bathing in organic, vegan, no sugar, raw cacao and binge watching Real Housewives so I may not be of any help but I’ll try.

One Response
I much prefer reading blogs to any other kind of social media platforms including youtube (I only really watch LEM on there!). Also, totally recommend Pret’s vegan cookie… definitely alcohol-free but I’m. not sure if it’s sugar free!
