Christmas Gifting | Stuff That I Love

Christmas Gifting | Stuff That I Love

So it’s official, Christmas is definitely in full swing at Vogue House. I love how Christmassy it get’s at work, even though I’m Jewish and had time off when it was Christmas jumper day, argh! Nonetheless, it’s still a time to get super festive with lots of mulled wine and plenty of presents to go around.

Even Claridge’s, the 5 star iconic London hotel upped their game this year with the festivities. This year, they commissioned Burberry’s creative director and CEO Christopher Bailey to design the famous Claridge’s Christmas tree and believe me, this picture literally does not do it justice

So despite being massively late to the Christmas gift-giving blogging-game, those who know me will know I haven’t even started my Christmas shopping yet but I certainly know what I’ll be buying my dearest and dearest. Dan’s presents are already almost tied up (despite him being the most difficult person to buy for) so here’s what else is on my gift list this year…

1. AERIN ROSE BODY SCRUB AND ROSE HAND & BODY CREAM

Perfect for those with dry skin or those just looking for an indulgent Christmas gift, Aerin has created this beautiful range of luxurious products. I love the scrub (£50) for gentle exfoliating and re-texturising of the skin and then following up with the body and hand cream (£37) to leave my skin feeling soft and gentle with a pleasant rose scent. Erin is the granddaughter of Estee Lauder and currently the Style and Image Director of the brand.

2. HOTEL CHOCOLAT CHOCOLATESimage

At work, I recently bought my secret santa recipient a photo frame with a picture of her and her sisters inside along with an eyeshadow and a couple of Hotel Chocolat treats. The person sat next to her instantly knew it was from me as he knows my total obsessed with the brand. Whether you’re looking for less expensive goodies or the top of the range masterpieces, they usually have something for all budgets.

3. MEMBERS ONLY CLUB MEMBERSHIPimage

A private members club is great for those who usually have external meetings with clients and with various memberships on offer (Kensington Club featured above), it’s usually simple to choose one. The Soho House Group are renowned for having lots and lots of places around London but you’ll usually find you know everyone in there so choose carefully if you want to avoid this. Oh and you usually need two members to recommend you.

4. JO MALONE CANDLEimage

Obviously an essential on any gift list for a loved one; the obligatory Jo Malone candle. With scents like Pomegranate Noir and this Lime, Basil and Mandarin, priced at £44, expect to see these on most coffee tables in London.

5. KOKO COUTURE HAIR EXTENSIONSimage

For just £19.99, these synthetic hair clip in extensions from Koko Couture are such a fun way to get really long hair without the hassle. These are seriously long (I’m talking 22 inches, my hair natural is around 15 inches long) yet so easy to maintain. Use styling products as necessary and enjoy your thicker, fuller look. They come in all shapes and sizes as well as colours, even ombre.

6. TOPSHOP BEAUTY LIP BULLETimage

For just £8, this lip bullet from Topshop Beauty is definitely the best investment you’ll make this season. When I wear this I usually get a few people asking where is it from, probably because unlike most lipsticks it literally lasts all day and gives a moisturising matt finish. I love the vibrant colours (this one is in ‘Boy Racer’) so check out Topshop Beauty now.

7. McQUEENS FLOWERS & CANDLES

From the Vanity Fair post Oscar party to fashion shows in London, from film festivals to Claridge’s and weddings to restaurants, McQueen’s have redefined the way we think about flowers. My parents bought Dan’s parents a beautiful bunch from here after our engagement party and they really were amazing. If you’ve a spare couple of hundred pounds, these flowers are just to die for.

8. LINKS OF LONDON

These charms from Links of London though are all good to go. Pop on a necklace or bracelet, these charms are festive and make for a great gift. Prices start from just £30.
