2017 Didn’t Turn Out as I Planned…

Professional Moments

I never envisaged spending my first year as a full time blogger pregnant so when blogging about style, beauty and advice I did sometimes feel a bit limited or restricted. Of course I couldn’t go and try that new laser therapy and there were no paint balling or Champagne brand events I could participate in with a human growing inside of. Surprisingly I realised there aren’t a huge amount of fashion brands that offer great maternity style!

It gave me the luxury to exercise my integrity and be able to pick and choose what I really wanted to do. In 2017 I collaborated with some amazing sponsors on the blog and social media (giving a big champagne clink to those 23 brands)!

This year also saw the launch of my new baby blog, Little in the City and my new business of blogging site, Style Finding.

Blog Highlights

I had the pleasure of interviewing the founder of Isabella Oliver, guest edit on AlexandAlexa.com and share my style secrets with Joules. One of the biggest disappointments was having to pull out of the guest panel at the UK premiere of the new Manolo Blahnik film where I was due to speak to the audience as I’d just given birth.

Other highlights included becoming one of Astrid & Miyu’s ‘Muses’ and the IG takeover of Stella & Dot.

I also decided to redesign Sassy in the City and give it a whole new look, feel and logo. I also shared my wedding with followers on the blog – it was so lovely to hear all the great compliments and feedback. Launching a SITC beauty box with Roccabox which went on sale for £10 was also pretty special!
